 THANK YOU, FRIENDS

You are true friends and neighbors! Many of you were there for me when my doors opened for the first time.  You have bought me books.  You stacked my shelves, dusted my corners, swept my porch, brought me flowers.  You keep me company all during the week.  You have entrusted me with your children and grandchildren.  You invite friends to come and visit.  To keep me in "business", you bake all kinds of "goodies" for bake sales and kindly buy as well.  You open your homes to the community to show how much you like me! You bring all kinds of "good stuff" to my garage sale every spring.

That's right--when I am in need, you are there for me.  I can't thank you enough.

I want to be a good neighbor in return.  I have an awesome responsibility to all my friends in Valley Mills.  I want to provide you with the knowledge of all ages -- to keep your minds active.  I want to bring people of our community together -- a place to meet, talk, discover, renew friendships, make new friends.  I want to help you learn new things, find jobs, help you "climb your family tree".

Just tell me what you would like for me to do to help you, and I will do my best to find the resources to do it.  After all, that is what good friends do.

SINCERELY YOURS,

The Valley Mills Public Library
